Elaine has always lived in Greenwich. She studied painting at Goldsmiths' School of Art and at the Slade School of Fine Art. More recently Elaine gained a B.A. Hons Degree in Book Arts from the London Institute. At her studio in Greenwich Elaine works in several printmaking techniques. As well as making etchings and collagraphs on her Rochat etching press, the acquisition of a 1850 Albion relief press has inspired a series of colour lino cuts on the patterns of mazes and labyrinths and multiple images of imaginary butterflies, insects and seed heads. Inspiration has also come from travels in France, Tuscany, Andalusia, Morocco and Nepal. Elaine is a founded member and the gallery manager of Greenwich Printmakers gallery. Recent exhibitions in which she has participated are the Royal Academy Summer exhibition, the RWA Print Open, Originals at the Mall Gallery and the Affordable Art Fairs. Elaine's work is in many private and public collections including the National Maritime and Victoria and Albert Museums.
